Domino’s Pizza hopes to open its new takeaway outlet in Portishead within the next few months, the company has told the Times.
The international chain was given planning permission by North Somerset Council in the middle of last year to open a new store in High Street – despite some fears from within the community that its arrival may harm local businesses already running in the area.
A company spokesman told the Times it had turned its attention now to finding staff ahead of the opening.
They added: “We’re really excited to have found such good premises right in the heart of the Portishead community.
“We hope to open our doors in spring, and will be looking to recruit from within the area.”
Domino’s already runs several takeaways in North Somerset, with outlets operating in Nailsea, Clevedon, Locking Castle and Weston-super-Mare.
