A CHEQUE for £2,000 has been donated to the Army Benevolent Fund by organisers of The Dig for Victory Show.

The 1940s event, held in Wraxall in July, celebrated all things vintage and included a host of activities and sideshows for visitors to get stuck into.

The weekend festival resulted in £4,000 being raised for charity and has been split between the Army Benevolent Fund and Children’s Hospice South West, which runs Charlton Farm in Wraxall.

Plans are already being put in place for this year’s festival on June 13-14.
