Severe delays on M5 at Clevedon after early-morning accident

An early-morning accident and fuel spill is causing heavy delays on the M5 northbound, which now stretch back to junction 20 for Clevedon.
The accident involved two lorries and two lanes are now closed while the spill is cleared up.
Traffic was held up for around 10 minutes at 5.41am while the lorry was moved onto the hard shoulder at Weston-super-Mare and emergency services were on the scene.
However, traffic is still building and there are reports of delays of up to 88 minutes, which are rising as a result of the incident.
The average speed is five miles per hour on the motorway.
UPDATE, 9.22am: One lane closed southbound after second accident on M5.
UPDATE, 9.49am: Delays expected to last hours as emergency resurfacing is required.
UPDATE, 11.53am: Normal traffic conditions are expected between 1.45pm and 2pm.
