OVER 600 Clients, friends and fellow professionals joined the partners and staff of David James & Partners at two venues in South Gloucestershire and at Barley Wood Stables in Wrington to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the company.

A marquee in the stable yard at Barley Wood hosted the Wrington celebrations and some 250 people joined the evening festivities.

North Somerset local producers were well represented with wine from Aldwick Court Vineyard, Cider from Thatchers and native flower arrangements from Wrington while local musicians entertained and delicious canapés were served.

Speeches were opened by Richard Nancekivell who thanked the many clients and farmers present and of course his colleagues who represented all the various divisions and aspects of the business covered by David James & Partners Limited at Wrington, from Building Surveyors, rural payments, land and property sales. He also congratulated Oliver McCarthy on his successful Country House department and his recent appointment as Associate – Oliver is ably assisted by Sharon Everett, Christine Coole and Teresa Scott.

A similar event took place at Kingcote Barn near Tetbury, hosted by Stewart Walters and Matthew Blaken. The company namesake and founding partner David James attended the evenings and explained how the firm had evolved during the past 25 years and how the business had been the amalgamation of two long established firms of Alonzo Dawes and Hoddell and Pritchard and Co., with a client base dating back to 1860.

In 1990 David James & Partners set up in Congresbury with a staff of two, and has expanded and diversified over this time to 38 employees, 11 chartered surveyors, 11 post grad students, estate agency departments and letting agency; all assisted by support staff working from three offices at Wrington, Old Sodbury and Wotton Under Edge offering a bespoke and specialist service to land owners, home owners, farmers and landlords.

He congratulated the partners on their continuing success and unlike many companies that have grown dramatically, David James & Partners still provides an excellent professional and personal service whilst not compromising on cutting edge technology!

The firm’s current directors, Stewart Waters, Richard Nancekivell and Matthew Blaken were keen to mark this special anniversary alongside their clients and both events proved a great success with many people remarking how lovely it was to chat and catch up with people they had not seen for many years!
