YOUNGSTERS from a Portishead dance school picked up 11 medals in the recent freestyle dance championships in Chepstow.

Carly Mcmahon who runs Precision Dance Academy with her former dance partner Stephanie Harvey, said: “We have a fantastic competition team in our Portishead class but as our students get older we need new, younger pupils to follow on behind them.”

Carly and Stephanie are looking for keen movers aged four to 13 years. Training sessions take place on Thursdays at the Wesley Centre in Ferndale Road between 5.30-6.30pm.

Carly added: “We are happy to take complete novices and train them up to competition standard or students can just dance for fun if they prefer.”

An annual show is also organised to allow the dancers to perform in front of family and friends.

Youngsters can just turn up for a free trial class or call 07733 321168 for more details.
