VOLUNTEERS in Portishead are being asked to sign up for the country’s Home Guard.
Amateur dramatic group Portishead Players will be presenting episodes from the popular TV series of Dad’s Army in April and producers are looking for extras to make up Captain Mainwaring’s motley crew.
An informal introduction evening takes place at The Albion pub in Bristol Road, on Tuesday at 7pm.
Anyone interested can go along to find out more and sign up. Would-be actors will need to be able to commit time for a few rehearsals and then the whole of production week of April 22-29.
