Tom Bullimore organised a stationary cycle in support of Springboard Opportunity Group at the bandstand in Elton Road.

He was joined by dozens of people cycling alongside him at regular intervals and raised a total of £2,604.

Tom said: “Everything started to hurt after five hours but the people joining me every 30 minutes got me through and brought me food too.

“It was a pleasure to do it for such a good cause and I want to say thank you to everybody who came and helped me get through.

“We were lucky with the weather and the public were very generous throughout the day.

“I am just over the moon we raised such a big amount for Springboard.”
