Cyclist dies after collision

A CYCLIST has died following an accident in Nailsea today (Wed).

The man, who is believed to be elderly, was riding his bike along Stock Way North near to Silver Street when he was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus.

The ambulance service was called just after 1pm and paramedics were sent to the scene, along with the air ambulance.

The cyclist suffered a head injury and then a cardiac arrest. Paramedics attempted resuscitation but the man died at the scene.

Stock Way North remains closed while the scene is investigated by police.
