TWO autism sufferers from North Somerset will cycle more than 200 miles this summer for charity.

David Painter-Kooiman, from Clevedon, and Ben Nicholas, from Weston, both volunteer for The National Autistic Society (NAS), and will be cycling from Land’s End to Weston, starting on July 5.

Ben, aged 30, who has previously done a charity cycle from Chester to Weston, said: “Taking part in our own bike ride for the NAS is a huge personal goal, and my way of helping my peers from the social group.

“There’s so much misunderstanding about autism and what it actually means to live with the condition.”
