Sustainable Backwell is holding an annual cycling event to Bristol

KEEN bikers will be pedalling to Bristol on Sunday for Sustainable Backwell’s annual cycling event.

The ride starts at 1.30pm from the playing fields in West Town Road and will head along Backwell Common to the Green Way and on to Flax Bourton Village Hall where families can stop for refreshments.

The environmental group is holding the event to show how easy it is to cycle into Bristol. Riders can choose to stop in Flax Bourton or carry on through Long Ashton and pick up the Festival Way from Bower Ashton to the Create Centre.

Cyclists will then have an hour to explore Bristol before riding home. The group is keen to see people on a range of bikes including electric bikes and tandems. For more details contact Brian Campbell on 07759 308587 or at campbellbri@yahoo.co.uk
