Serial offender in prison
A SERIAL offender has been sent to jail after a string of crimes in Clevedon.
Ben Houldsworth has been sentenced to a total of three years in prison for nine offences committed earlier this year.
The 19-year-old appeared at Bristol Crown Court on October 25 and pleaded guilty to burglary between July 24-27 after taking keys from a secure letter box in Clevedon and stealing a vehicle.
On July 27, he drove a stolen vehicle, failed to stop for police and drove at excessive speeds and so pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking.
He also pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
In a separate incident, Houldsworth pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without consent between June 12-21 in Clevedon.
He also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified on June 14, driving a vehicle while uninsured between June 13-20.

and, again, driving while disqualified on June 20 in Kenn Road, Clevedon
As well as racking up a three-year prison sentence, Houldsworth from Bristol had his driving licence endorsed and was banned from driving for three years and will have to take a re-test to get his licence back.
