A Clevedon man has been jailed for 13 months after he punched his ex-partner and threatened her with a hammer.
Gary Hughes, aged 49, from Chapel Hill beat Naomi Humphreys at the Butcher’s Arms in Yatton in January last year when she asked the bar staff not to serve him. He then threatened her with a hammer at a family party in June.
Hughes pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 13 months in prison at Bristol Crown Court.
