THE jury has been discharged in the trial of two members of Avon and Somerset Police because they could not reach a decision.
PC Alexander Owen, aged 31, and police staff member Nina East, aged 34, from Portishead, had been on trial at Gloucester Crown Court for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice over a speeding ticket.
The constabulary will now discuss with the Crown Prosecution Service whether to seek a re-trial.
