The following court cases were completed at North Somerset Courthouse in St Georges between July 26 and August 2:
* Salvatore Bellaera (54), of Woodview Terrace, Nailsea. Drink-driving: Fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 15 months. Richard Owen (36), of Argentia Place, Portishead. Drink-driving: Fined £500 plus £85 costs and £50 victim surcharge, banned from driving for 12 months.
* Vasile Bighiu (46), of West Hill, Portishead. Assault: 12-month community order with requirement to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid community work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
* William Newman (30), of Strawberry Close, Nailsea. Production of class B drug: Sent to prison for six months, ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge. Dishonest use of electricity: Six months in prison (consecutive).
* James Bruce (37), of Church Lane, Yatton. Criminal damage: Six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
