THE following cases were completed at North Somerset Courthouse between February 20 and March 25:

Jack Read (21), of Whitesfield Road, Nailsea. Assault: Sent to prison for 10 weeks, ordered to pay £85 costs and £80 victim surcharge.

Daniel Lewis (34), of Cherry Avenue, Clevedon. Assault: 12-month community order with requirement to carry out 150 hours’ unpaid community work, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge. Failure to surrender: No separate penalty.

Nicholas Hopkins (31), of Forth Avenue, Portishead. Criminal damage: 12-month community order, ordered to pay £15 compensation. Assault: 12-month restraining order, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. Failure to surrender: Fined £25.

Jordan Watson (20), of Stowey Road, Yatton. Possession of class B drug: Fined £160 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Victoria Burns (19), of The Avenue, Clevedon. Driving without due care and attention: Fined £55 and ordered to pay £300 costs and £20 victim surcharge, licence endorsed with four penalty points.

Mark Coldwell (41), of Kenn Road, Clevedon. Drink-driving: Fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge and £400 costs, banned from driving for 40 months.
