A 71-year-old Weston woman has been banned from driving after speeding - and not having a valid licence, which had expired.
Magistrates heard Diana Mary Mallaney, of Longridge Way, Weston, drove at 38mph in Gloucester Road North, Filton, on August 4 last year.
The limit was 30mph.
She was fined £43 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90.
Mallaney, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was also banned from driving for six months.

A Weston woman has been fined £120 after admitting a charge of racially-aggravated harassment.
Jade Elizabeth Griffiths, of Millstone Close, pleaded guilty to the charge in absence at Weston Magistrates' Court on June 24.
The 34-year-old was fined £120 for the offence, committed on March 3 this year, and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.

Assaulting a police officer ended in a £300 fine for a 61-year-old man.
Mark Gibbard, of Moorside Court, Clevedon, appeared before magistrates in Weston on June 24 charged with the assault, on April 16 this year.
He denied the offence but was found guilty.
Gibbard was fined £300 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation, as well as a £34 victim surcharge and £775 in court costs.

A Burrington man has been banned from driving after getting behind the wheel while disqualified without insurance - and using a mobile phone.
Russell Patrick Vines, of The Coombe, Ham Link, Burrington, admitted the offences when he appeared before magistrates in Weston on June 24.
The 23-year-old was caught driving while disqualified and using a mobile phone on April 16 this year, the court heard.
He also had no valid insurance.
A community order requiring Vines to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and £85 in court costs.
Vines was also banned from driving for 32 months.

A 40-year-old Weston man admitted a charge of assault - breaching a community order.
Dean Strickland, of Cairo Court, Weston, appeared before magistrates on June 24 charged with attacking a man on June 2 this year.
Strickland's community order was continued, and he was also ordered to pay £100 compensation, as well as a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.

A Weston man failed to attend appointments as part of a community order.
Ben Andrew Thompson, of Walliscote Road, Weston, appeared before magistrates on June 24 and admitted breaching the order.
The 26-year-old was fined £166 and ordered to pay court costs of £60.
The order will also continue.

A 36-year-old man received penalty points and a £207 fine after speeding on the M5.
Paul Anthony Michael Homan, of Toomer Close, East Brent, drove on the northbound carriageway of the M5 between junctions 24 and 23 at 65mph on May 19 last year.
The speed limit was 50mph.
Magistrates in Weston on June 28 fined the 36-year-old £207 and ordered him to pay a £34 victim surcharge, as well as £90 in court costs.
He also received three penalty points on his driving record.
