The following cases were heard at North Somerset Courthouse from June 29 to July 4.
* Loretta Feltham, Forth Avenue, Portishead (21). Assault: 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim services.
* Brian Pearce, Slade Lane, Barrow Gurney (66). Failing to stop at scene of accident after injuring an animal: disqualified from driving for three months, fined £328 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.
* Steven Higgins, no fixed abode (52). Assault: 12-week suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £100 compensation. Assault police officer: 12-week suspended prison sentence (concurrent) and ordered to pay £50 compensation. Criminal damage: no separate penalty.
* Paul Yates, Yeomead, Nailsea (25): Drink-driving: disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 and £32 victim surcharge.
