Cricket club appeals for help

NAILSEA Cricket Club is appealing to local businesses to help preserve the club’s annual review.

Well-known sports stars such as Gary Lineker, David Gower, Jack Russell and Ian Botham have written pieces for the publication in the past, but due to recent financial constraints the club is seeking support from businesses so it can continue to publish the review.

Back issues from as far back as 1983 have now been transferred online and can be viewed at www.issuu.com/nailseacc

Cricket fans will also be able to read score cards from the club’s history, which are being uploaded to the website.

The club, which was established in 1856, has accumulated a substantial archive of score books which it is currently transferring online to make records more accessible to fans and players.
