A MOTORCYLCIST was left with serious injuries following a crash in Flax Bourton.
At just before 9pm yesterday (Sun), a motorbike and a car collided in Belmont Hill, causing fuel to spill on to the road.
Ambulance, police and fire crews all attended the scene of the accident, which happened half way up the hill and resulted in the road being closed for some time.
The male riding the motorcycle was treated by paramedics at the scene, including two critical care paramedics who arrived in rapid response vehicles, before being taken to Frenchay Hospital by ambulance with suspected multiple leg fractures.
A crew from Nailsea Fire Station remained at the scene to clear the fuel from the road before it could be reopened.
