A MAN was arrested on Sunday following a car chase in Portishead.
Police followed a black Volkswagen Golf along Avon Way, after being called to a domestic incident at about 10.15am. The car crashed into a fence in Cadbury Road and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He was later released on bail.
An eyewitness said police stopped the driver by using a taser as he tried to get away on foot through gardens in Bristol Road.
