A multiple-vehicle crash has closed two lanes on the M5 southbound this afternoon (Wednesday).

The lanes were closed between junction 19 (Gordano Services) and junction 20 (Clevedon).

As of 4.20pm, the lanes have opened but delays remain.

A Highways England spokesman said: “Traffic officers have cleared the vehicles involved in the earlier collision to the hard shoulder.

“All lanes have been reopened.

“Please allow extra time for your journey as residual delays of 60 minutes remain on the approach.”
