A MAN from Portishead has been sent to prison after breaking into a house and threatening the residents with a knife.

While the people in the house were asleep, Tyler Kibby broke in, found a knife in the kitchen and used it to threaten his victim to pay £20.

When the victim refused to pay he was punched and stabbed.

Kibby, aged 20, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and was sentenced to 32 months in prison, minus the 135 days he has spent on remand.

He also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
