A counsellor is cycling 500 miles to raise money for charity.

Wellspring Counselling, in Nailsea, provides affordable services for adults and free counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy for young people and wants to carry on supporting them by raising funds.

More: Charity appeals for funds to continue mental health support for students.

Sue Jenner started as a trainee counsellor at Wellspring in 2007, before qualifying in 2008 and has been proud to have been part of the vital charity.

She is semi-retired, but wanted to raise funds for the charity to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.

Sue set off from Nailsea on Friday, before travelling through Bristol, Bridgwater, Bideford, Budleigh Salterton, Bournemouth, Bath and ending in Bristol.

Wellspring needs more funds to grow the number of sessions it runs.
