A NEW cookbook has been launched with the aim of helping those with cancer to alleviate some of their symptoms.
Called Nourish – The Cancer Care Cookbook, it has been created by Pill-based charity, Penny Brohn Cancer Care. The charity specialises in providing complimentary treatments and support to people living with cancer, one of them being the promotion of a nutritious diet which it says can help to ease some symptoms.
Nourish shows people how to create simple meals, snacks and drinks which are packed with nutrients to support their body.
It has been created with the help of expert nutritionist Christine Bailey and was launched at an event which also included demonstrations of some of the recipes and an explanation on how eating well can support people with cancer.
