Keen crafters in Nailsea have set up a group to offer a range of workshops.

Following the closure of The Blue Room in December, the former owner and some of its workshops tutors wanted to ensure people could still enjoy a range of crafts in the town.

More: The Blue Room to close due to lack of trade.

The crafters have set up the Contemporary Craft Collective (CCC).

A full day of workshops will take place on April 6 at Number 65 High Street, where people can try their hand at jewellery making, weaving and fused glass.

Sharon Brown, former owner of The Blue Room, said: “The CCC members have all been offering workshops through The Blue Room for several years and they’re excited to be bringing this new opportunity to Nailsea.”

Weekly drop-in craft groups from The Blue Room continue at Number 65 High Street.
