Congresbury will become more colourful in 2017 after a village community group unveiled plans to make improvements.

Blooming Congresbury was formed last year by people who wanted to make their village a more attractive place.

The group plans to overhaul the Geoffrey Peacock memorial garden, in Broad Street, by replanting part of it.

Organisers have also ordered 1,800 flowers to be positioned throughout Congresbury, while hanging baskets will also be put up outside shops.

Group member Di Hassan said to the Times: “Hopefully we will be nice and colourful again this year.”
