Clevedon Coastguard Rescue Team was called to help a fallen person this morning (Friday).

The crew launched at 9.34am after reports a fisherman was knocked from his kayak close to Clevedon Pier.

The man, who was dragged into the sea after a drifting log snagged his anchor line, raised the alarm himself.

His kayak was checked over by the coastguard before being released.

Staff from Clevedon Pier And Heritage Trust assisted with the rescue.
