Homeless people living in Bristol have been handed a boost thanks to the generosity of people living in Clevedon and Portishead.

Donations of helpful everyday items were dropped off at a hostel in the city last week, and they will be distributed to those in need.

Portishead Rotary Club president John Sleight handed over the donations
to Major Michael Eden from the Clevedon Salvation Army.

A mix of T-shirts, industrial boots, shoes and mugs were delivery to the hostel in Bristol to help those in need.

A Rotary spokesman thanked Sainsbury’s in Portishead for ‘kindly donating’ the items and its work supporting Sport Relief 2018.

John said: “It was a pleasure to give these items as they will support those who need them most.”
