BRAVE fund-raisers scaled a climbing wall in Clevedon to collect cash toward the revamp of a Girlguiding base in the town.
The 26ft wall was set up in Queens Square on May 21 for members of the public to climb as well as for members of rainbows, brownies and guides packs to take on in return for sponsorship.
Those taking part ranged in age from four to 80.
Money was also collected throughout the day by offering face painting to children and through bag-packing at Morrisons supermarket.
It is hoped more than 2,000 can be raised from the event and match funding, which will go toward improving the Clevedon East Guiding Centre in Southey Road, including the installation of a new kitchen.
