The Clevedon Yeo Rotary Club raised £700 through a recent quiz night.

A number of members also collected donations for the charity at Clevedon’s Tesco, in Kenn Road, in November and early December to help with the provision of food and parcels for families and individuals in need over the Christmas period.

The volunteers were in store talking to shoppers and asking for donations of food or money.

Club president Tony Carrington said “We have established a great working relationship with the foodbank.

“We like to support them financially but also with the practical help of our members with collecting donations and also delivering them to the foodbank on a weekly basis.

“The rotary club and the Foodbank make a great team.”
