Clevedon’s Tesco store gifted water bottles to members of Clevedon United Junior girl’s football teams.

Secretary Paul Ryan said: “The girls’ sides were formed 10 years ago and have expanded from one team to five, so the need for more equipment has never been so important.

“We want to get more girls playing football regularly but need to provide the right tools for them to do so.

“Getting the support from Tesco is fantastic and we cannot thank them enough.

“We offer free football training for reception and year one girls on Saturday mornings at the Everyone Active Stadium at 9.30am.”

Tesco community champion Sally Wallis said: “Our aim is to make as many donations as possible to the community and build relationships.

“We want to help the club in any way we can, and this donation will go a long way.”

Clevedon United Juniors has teams at reception, year one, year two, under-nine, under-10, under-14 and under-16.
