Clevedon’s YMCA raises hundreds of pounds towards the charity

Hundreds of people celebrated Clevedon’s YMCA’s 90th anniversary earlier this month.

The youth centre branch, in Marson Road, were joined by the Archdeacon of Bath Dr Adrian Youings and Sue Mountstevens who expressed their commitment and interest to young people on the evening.

Businesses, the church and individuals contributed £960, to help fund improvement's to the YMCA building.

The centre was founded in November 1929.

Juley Howard said: "Many thanks to the young people and volunteers who came along to help on the night.

"They made it a very special occasion.

"The evening included an explanation of our plans to make the building accessible with one entrance for all.

"We plan to include better changing facilities for disabled people, better energy efficiency and result in a completely refurbished building that will see us through the next few decades."
