Staff at Specsavers, at The Triangle, are encouraging people to take part in the Animal Shoebox Appeal and donate gifts to spread goodwill to rescue animals during the festive season.

Specsavers Clevedon have a drop-off point in-store and the deadline for these will be December 22.

Store director at Specsavers, Emma Perrigo, said: “For many of us, Christmas is a time to give and receive gifts with our loved ones, but there are lots of animals which will not be waking up with a family or a home this Christmas.

“It costs more than £500,000 a year to run the sanctuary, so we are delighted to be supporting the animals at the shelter this Christmas.

“Shoebox appeals are an excellent initiative over the festive period and are great fun to make so we were keen to get involved and help Holly Hedge.”
