Clevedon Rugby Club has enjoyed a visit from North Somerset’s mobile library.

The service visited the Southey Road club to promote its Reading Passport, the yearly regional promotion of books for adults.

Rugby is this year’s theme, which features 15 books ranging from player biographies, the history of the game and even a cookbook.

Chris Hurd, the Rugby Football Union’s community coach for the area, said: “This is a great idea.

“There are lots of good books around on the sport and promotions like this highlight some of the best.”

The Reading Passport is available from all North Somerset libraries.
