Xander-Jaymes Le Petit, the Rock Choir leader in Clevedon, stood alongside the choir’s founder Caroline Redman Lusher and her 80-strong vocal group for a spectacular performance and the summer event in London’s Hyde Park.

The singers wowed an audience of 40,000 people and the national viewing public.

More than 100,000 Rock Choir members made the journey to London for the event to support their comrades.

Xander-Jaymes, the Somerset and North Somerset choir leader, said: “Performing in front of 40,000 people was a shock when I first walked out on to the stage but then it was time to be professional and sing.

“During You Raise Me Up with Josh Groban, the audience lit up their phones which was incredible as you just see those at the back were just as engaged as those at the front.”
