Parents have been warned after reports of a car following schoolchildren in Clevedon.

A group of pupils claimed they were followed by a dark-coloured car in Rippleside Road during their journey to All Saints Primary School on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the school at about 9.50am where officers spoke to the headteacher.

They searched Rippleside Road and the surrounding area for about one hour but found no trace of the vehicle.

A similar incident was reported last month when three year six pupils at Tickenham Primary School were followed and approached by a man driving a car in Clevedon Road on January 15.
Anyone with information is asked to call Avon and Somerset Constabulary on 101 and quote log number 270 on January 26.
