A murder comes to light in the Clevedon Players’ production of Dead Ringer.

When the Prime Minister drops dead from a heart attack on the eve of a general election, two members of the cabinet hire a look-alike actor to take his place.

The MPs fear defeat without the charisma of their leader and hope the actor will fool their opponents until after the election is won.

But a murder investigation ensues when it is revealed the real Prime Minster was in fact poisoned.

Dead Ringer, by Charles Ross, will be performed at Princes Hall by the Clevedon Players.

People can catch the show at the hall, attached to the community centre in Princes Road, until tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm each night.

Tickets, priced £8-10, are available from Souk, in The Triangle, and the community centre on 01275 873405 as well as from 07816 158445 or from www.clevedonplayers.co.uk
