Changes are set to be made to out-of-hours opening times at North Somerset Community Hospital.

The service, based at the hospital in Clevedon, is run by primary care service provider BrisDoc.

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (BNSSG CCG) A&E delivery board is due to discuss possible seasonal changes this week.

A BNSSG CCG spokesman said patients should not cause a noticeable difference to service users.

They added: “The proposed changes are only to the GP out-of-hours service and would not affect other services at the hospital.

“Careful monitoring of service use allows local healthcare teams to ensure services are targeted in the right places at the right times to provide the highest level of care to patients.

“This approach has been used in previous years and will not affect the way in which local people access the service.

“We will continue to work with BrisDoc to monitor how any changes affect the service to ensure the best care for patients all year round.”
