A former office block has been sold for £1.15million and will be transformed into flats.

Waverley House, in Old Church Road, has been sold off to Crown Developments and is set to be transformed into 17 one and two-bedroom flats.

The owners of the 1990s building, FI Real Estate Management, already secured consent to change it into residential development.

Each flat will have its an off-street parking space.

The building conversion is likely to be completed by May next year.

Clevedon Town Council objected to the application at the beginning of the year, raising concerns about flooding in the area as well as the loss of employment space.

Another concern raised was about the removal of a healthy tree to create the parking spaces.

Highways England found no issue with access in and out of the proposed development during the consultation period.
