A charity fundraiser featuring more than 150 classic cars will be held at the weekend.

BBC Points West presenter Alex Lovell will be at Cadbury, a Wyevale Garden Centre, in Congresbury on Sunday to host the annual Clevedon Lions event.

The vehicles, some which date back to the 1920s, will leave the centre at 10am before heading on a 30-mile countryside drive.

They will then park at the Salthouse Fields on the seafront in Clevedon at around 12.30pm. There, visitors will be able to admire the stunning selection of vehicles, hopefully in the sunshine.

There will also be trade, charity and craft stalls, games and a licensed bar.

All proceeds will go to Children’s Hospice South West and Lions charities.

A Lions spokesman said: “We have a bumper turnout of cars and bikes again this year with many local enthusiasts joining in, some for the first time.

“It looks being another great Lions event.”
