A charitable group from Clevedon has presented hundreds of pounds to help people with diabetes.
Clevedon Lions club hosts its Christmas Tree of Light each year and is used to collect donations from the public who wish to remember a loved one.
In December, Above and Beyond was selected as one of the beneficiaries for this year’s donations.
The charity, which fundraises for the Bristol hospitals, has been presented with £500.
The club requested the charity spend the cash on work connected with diabetes, a topic which has been supported by Lions clubs worldwide.
A Lions spokesman said: “Vital services and treatment are provided to people across the area and the Lions are pleased to encourage their work to provide the very best care possible.”
The cheque was presented by Lions members to the diabetes and endocrinology staff.
