A Clevedon gym is offering free health checks for businesses.

Staff at the Everyone Active Stadium in Davis Lane have been visiting employees to carry out Know Your Numbers checks measuring blood pressure, body fat percentage, muscle mass and lung function.

Everyone Active Stadium general manager Noel Hickman said: “This is a fantastic initiative and one we think makes a real difference to the health of people across the district.”

Internet service provider CableCom, based in Windmill Road, is the latest business to benefit from the checks, with each employee taking part receiving a free seven-day pass to the gym.

Service assurance manager Edward Fingleton said: “We had lots of interest from the staff and had back to back appointments booked for the afternoon.

“We have booked a return date to check what progress people have made with their health.”
