CLEVEDON’S annual extravaganza of flowers, entertainment and fun will be put on over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

CLEVEDON’S annual extravaganza of flowers, entertainment and fun will be put on over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

On August 28 and 29, the Salthouse Fields will be filled with stalls, displays and entertainment sets.

On the Saturday, proceedings will begin in Queens Square at 12.15pm when The Long Eaton Militares will march to the Salthouse Fields for the opening at 1pm. The show will be open until 6.30pm

In the afternoon there will be entertainment from Mike Douglas in a tribute to Neil Diamond and The Ambassadors of Jazz.

There will also be the numerous classes for flowers, cacti, vegetables, fruit, cooking, cakes, wine and crafts.

On the Sunday, the show will open from 10am-5pm and includes a companion dog show, a sheepdog display, a display of classic cars and a display from the Melton Mowbray Toy Soldiers Band, who will march from the pier to the Salthouse Fields at 11.30am.

Entertainment will come from The New Society Jazz Band and The Merse Beat Legends.
