A couple from Clevedon are due to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary later this month.
Tony and Cheryl Pearson, aged 71 and 70 respectively, will reach the milestone on February 22.
They are due to celebrate it with their family and friends at the town’s Walton Park Hotel.
They met in 1965 when they were teenagers and married in 1969, at St Mary’s Church in Shirehampton, and have lived and raised their family in Clevedon for 33 years.
Cheryl said: “It’s amazing to celebrate our 50th anniversary.
“Time goes very quickly and not very many people get to experience this milestone, so we are very lucky.”
Tony and Cheryl have a daughter, Caroline Dicker, aged 41, and two grandchildren Kieran Dicker, aged 20, and Morgan Dicker, aged 16.
The couple’s son, Gregory, died when he was just 41 years old, and he used to work for the Weston Mercury.
