Hundreds of people packed into Clevedon town centre to enjoy a 'magical' Christmas lights switch-on.
The newly-purchased illuminations sparkled as they were lit up for the first time, officially marking the start of the festive period in the town.
A fundraising campaign was held this year to improve the lights display, with a number of business owners in The Triangle putting out collection tins for customers to donate.
Organiser Sam Harrison said: “This year’s Clevedon lights switch-on went really well.
“There was great entertainment and lovely stalls to look around.
“Lots of fun was had by children on the fair rides and the smell of mulled wine made the atmosphere magical.”
Attention will now turn to the St Nicholas Fair in Hill Road from 5-9pm on December 7 while Clevedon Pride’s Adventure To Santa will see Queens Square transformed into a winter wonderland on Saturday.
