A Clevedon care home has been praised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its recent inspection.

Channel View, in Albert Road, has received a ‘good’ rating from the healthcare watchdog across all five inspection categories: care, safe, effective, leadership and responsiveness.

The CQC said the home’s staff showed ‘empathy’ and an understanding of the residents’ needs.

The report says: “Staff supported people in a respectful, kind and caring way and involved them as much as possible in day-to-day choices and arrangements.

“There was a genuine consideration for people’s wellbeing and staff were committed to supporting them.”

The home caters to eight residents with mental health needs.
