Clevedon Athletics Club hosted its 42nd Boxing Day Run which saw hundreds of people turn out to run and to spectate.

Youngsters were also encouraged to join in with the 3km race which started outside The Little Harp Inn on Clevedon’s seafront.

Then it was on to the main event with men and women pounding the pavements at 11am.

A £250 bonus was up for grabs to any runner who could beat the course records – which are currently held by Ian Gillespie and Kate Reed who completed the course in 18.28 and 20.15 minutes respectively.

The course took the runners along the seafront to Holly Lane before heading along Walton Road and Old Street to cross the finish line in Old Church Road.
