More than £1,000 has been raised at a charity art exhibition in Clevedon, which took place for the final time last week.

The 21st and final Easter weekend charity art exhibition held at The Hawthorns in Elton Road saw hundreds of people enjoy the high standard of pieces on show, while 34 paintings were purchased.

The £1,200 raised at the event will be shared between Bristol Children’s Hospital’s cystic fibrosis unit and chosen Clevedon Lions charities.

A spokesman said: “The organisers will miss all the friends made and support given by the artists, management and residents of The Hawthorns, Clevedon Art Club, Albatross Transport, Clevedon Lions Club and Clevedon Community Centre office staff.

“Not forgetting members of the public who have supported us throughout the years and have come to the exhibition regardless of the weather – our grateful thanks to all.”
