Cleeve held its annual field day, as residents turned out in numbers to enjoy scorching temperatures and a jam-packed day of activities.

The King George V Playing Fields were busy with people, stalls and musical performances on June 17, as the community came together for a day to remember.

A game of cricket offered the perfect backdrop for villagers who wanted to relax in the sunshine, while others took part in a range of activities.

The Cadbury Sax Band delighted guests with their perfectly-executed up-tempo performances, while others enjoyed perusing the stalls selling various homemade treats.

Children also took part in keenly-contested races across the fields, with the winners receiving prizes.

The event coincided with Cleeve Cricket Club’s three-day beer festival, which showcased a range of craft ales and local musicians.

The beer festival drew big crowds each day as people enjoyed a quality beer while watching batsman whack the leather to all parts of the field.
