Cleeve Cricket Club hosted its annual beer festival on Friday and Saturday, with healthy crowds enjoying the sport, entertainment and beverages across the weekend.

The festival kicked off on Friday evening with live music before the village family day took place at the King George V Playing Field on Saturday, with guests enjoying a range of fun and games – and a game of cricket proved the perfect backdrop for the event.

Club member Chris Cole said: “The festival was once again a resounding success with both the Friday and Saturday very busy.

“The group Junction 19 entertained with their excellent music on Friday, and the village family day on Saturday complimented the festival well.

“For the second year the gin corner was extremely busy with the varied cocktails a great favourite.

“Overall this was a great village event capped off with the first team winning (their match).”
